Co-operative Education is a program which combines academic study with paid, monitored and credit-bearing work.

Co-Op is available to all seniors at LRHS, SVHS, and FA, who are academically eligible, employed, actively applying for work and looking to strengthen employability skills. Juniors may be accepted based on student needs.

Requirements

Course Requirements

Students are required to attend class a minimum of two times a week and group seminars which are offered at least once a month.

The focus of this course is career and job planning, workplace skills and portfolio presentation.
Students are also required to work a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 36 hours a week during school hours, at an approved community business partner. If a student has a job, that employer can become a community business partner.
