Statement of Purpose
Lake Region Vocational Center is a proud member of Maine’s network of career and technical education (CTE) schools.
Do you want a head start on life after high school? Are you planning on working right after graduation ? Are you attending college after graduation? If you answered yes to any of these questions then Lake Region Vocational Center (LRVC) is the right choice for you because we offer hands-on, career-oriented education in a variety of programs.
We have 9 programs to choose from- Computer Technologies, Culinary Arts, Health Occupations, Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Diversified Occupations, Early Childhood Occupations, Law Enforcement, and Cooperative Education.
There is a strong and growing demand for skilled trade workers and LRVC has programs that will prepare you to enter the workforce with marketable skills that give you an advantage on the competition. Our technical programs have state-of-the art equipment and continually evolve to meet industry standards.
LRVC is also the pathway to success for ambitious, college-bound students who want rigorous academics linked with real-world career training. You may not think that a technical school will prepare you for college, but in fact, the opposite is true. Approximately 50% of LRVC students continue onto post secondary education and training. The LRVC educational experience is designed to bring college to you as part of your high school program. Our partnerships with many colleges and universities allow you to earn articulated college credits.
We encourage you to explore our web site to find out why our students say, “attending LRVC is the best decision I ever made.”
