Kyleigh Rose-November Student of the Month
Culinary Arts Instructor, Eric Botka, nominated Kyleigh Rose for Student of the Month because she values her education, is helpful in the classroom, has excellent attendance, and is extremely dependable. In addition, she was elected president of SkillsUSA this year.
Often Kyleigh will help prepare items needed for the afternoon class while still accomplishing all of her daily tasks. She has participated at every after-school dinner event of the past eighteen months. At these dinners, Kyleigh makes and serves most of the desserts. To prepare for the Culinary-Health Occupations parent dinner, she completed all her academic work in advance so that she could devote an entire day to making the desserts.
Kyleigh is Eric Botka’s first student to be accepted to spend her senior year of high school as a full time college student at Johnson and Wales University. Her choice to stay at Lake Region Vocational Center is a plus for the school and the culinary program.
