Students from the Law Enforcement program have teamed up with Sgt. John Gardner of the Maine Army National Guard to learn more about and improve on their physical fitness. Sgt. Gardner has come into the classroom to talk about the importance of physical fitness in law enforcement as well as the military. He has led students in basic core strength training and has tested weekly on the Army physical fitness standards of a 2 mile run and maximum push-ups and sit-ups in two minutes. Students are working hard to set goals and improve their physical fitness capacity.
