Eric's culinary career started at the age of 14 scooping ice cream and flipping burgers. He graduated from Southern Maine Technical College in 1993 with a degree in Culinary Arts. He has worked in restaurants and hotels his entire professional career. In 1994, he was hired as the Executive Chef at the Craignair Inn in Clark Island, Maine. This was his first job as the executive chef in charge of all parts of the food operation. His career continued at various hotels until 2004 when he began teaching at Lake Region Vocational Center. From 1998 until 2004, part of his job was training apprentices for the culinary industry. This role would help him later in the class room. From 2004 until the present, he has been the Culinary Arts instructor at LRVC. His wife, Kate, is a pastry chef.
