Law Enforcement

The Law Enforcement Program at Lake Region Vocational Center is designed to expose students to careers in public service such as corrections, law enforcement, security and the military.
Taught by professionals with real-world experience, this program consists of lecture and demonstration with individual and small group activities.
Student learning will be reinforced through field trips to colleges, including the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, courts, the crime lab, and jail.
Selected students also have an opportunity to job shadow with local law enforcement agencies.


Applicants must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in one of LRVC's three sending schools.
Applicants must possess strong reading, writing and math skills and have an excellent attendance record.
Students will be required to wear uniforms, adhere to a code of conduct, and demonstrate maturity and a high level of self discipline.
