This exciting program is designed to prepare students for a career in the food service industry. Students are exposed to the basic fundamentals of food service and food preparation.
The curriculum includes safety and sanitation, classical, modern & ethnic cooking, menu planning, professional baking, cake decorating, restaurant design, ice carving, and short-order cooking.
All Culinary Arts students have the opportunity to join SkillsUSA, a student-run organization emphasizing team building, leadership and career skills. Top Culinary Arts SkillsUSA members compete against students from other vocational schools throughout the State of Maine.
This course meets Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, and Fri.
