Martha Burt-December Mason Student of the Month
Martha Burt is a senior in the Health Occupations II program and she is also enrolled at USM where she is taking a Nursing 100 class.
She finished the first year CNA program with an excellent academic score and a strong understanding of health care. With her CNA certificate in hand, Martha accepted a position in home health for the summer and continues as a per diem employee.
While she contemplates what career path to pursue, she is finishing her senior year at Fryeburg Academy with a rigorous and well-rounded course selection and an evening college psychology class.
Martha is a kind soul with a friendly spirit and strong moral character. Her instructor says that she is a delight to have in class and, although she is young, she is also very capable of managing complex situations with great confidence and maturity. Other words that her instructor uses to describe Martha are resilient, reliable, perceptive, empathetic and advocate.
Additionally, she craves knowledge and is always ready to consider a new idea. Martha is just the kind of person a school or employer would want to have. She possesses the numerous positive values that are necessary to be successful.
