Congratulations to Jordan Magiera, Student of the Year

The Student of the Year for the Lake Region Vocational Center is Jordan Magiera who is completing her second year in the Fire Science program. She also enrolled this year in Cooperative Education I.
Among her many accomplishments, she was chosen as the Casco Junior Firefighter of the Year, she is this year’s Gold Medalist in the state SkillsUSA Fire Fighting Competition, a state SkillsUSA Officer and SkillsUSA Chapter President, a 2nd Degree Black Belt martial arts instructor, and an American Red Cross certified life-guard and water safety instructor.
Jordan is enlisted as a Combat Engineer in the Maine Army National Guard, and has been accepted at Thomas College where she will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
