On Monday, November 21st, 19 students traveled to Shawnee Peak in Bridgton for the annual SkillsLRVC Leadership Day. Students from the Culinary Arts, Diversified Occupations, Fire Science, and Law Enforcement programs learned about and interacted with their peers during team building activities. They learned how to improve their public speaking, dress for success, and develop leadership skills. MSAD 61 Superintendent Al Smith stopped by to talk with the students about respect. The day concluded with a pizza party and t-shirt art contest. Everyone involved enjoyed a day away from the classroom and LRVC wishes to thank Shawnee Peak for donating the use of their facilities.
