MASON STUDENT OF THE MONTH-OCTOBER
OCTOBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH-KEAGON LEIGHTON is a first year student in Construction Technology and attends Lake Region High School. His hard work and willingness to do what is asked of him is exemplary and his enthusiasm has become contagious in the class. Keagon works outside of school throughout the year. His high school academic grades are consistently above average in the high school. Keagon is Vice-President of SkillsUSA . He leads by example, and has become the heart and soul of his program.
SEPTEMBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH-RILEY WEARS is a second year Fire Science student and a Junior member of the Bridgton Fire Department. According to his instructor, he is a “great kid with a great attitude” who has gone above and beyond in his involvement in the Fire Science Program by attending night and weekend training. He is also a valued member of SkillsUSA. He was a member of the Community Service-Interact Club and was the stage manager for the Lake Region High School musical, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Riley has thoughts of post-secondary education “out west” and possibly becoming involved in Wildland Firefighting in the Western United States.
