LRVC’s Annual CIDERFEST was held on Friday September 25.
About 300 kindergarten students participated in a wide variety of activities including a demonstration of cider making with an old-fashioned cider press. Students also learned how to make apple sauce and had their faces painted by Culinary Arts students. Students in the Health Occupations program showed the kindergarteners how to listen to their hearts with stethoscopes and they also learned about the health benefits of eating apples. Law Enforcement students directed traffic and kept the crowd safe. The Diversified Occupations students served as tour guides. A fun and educational day for everyone!
